Experts recommend that in order to keep a healthy heart and metabolism, it is important to consume at least 25 to 30 grams of fiber everyday. If you happen to eat grapes regularly, you will be able to supply to your body the required amount of fiber.
As far as carbohydrates in red grapes are concerned, it contains about 18 grams for every 100 grams of grapes. The calories are also negligible, it has got approximately 69 calories for every 100 grams of red grapes.
Apart from that, red grapes also contain vitamin C and vitamin A, potassium, manganese, iron, folic acid (folate), calcium, vitamin B6, zinc, copper, etc. Doctors recommend the consumption of grapes because they contain a chemical - resveratrol, which is responsible for a healthy heart.

Grapes are a good source of energy as they contain high levels of sugar. It also contains Vitamin B which helps in proper functioning of the muscles and nervous system. Hence, it can be best for children and people engaged in rigorous physical activities.
Several studies have shown that antioxidants in red grapes are beneficial for the betterment of body tissues and cells. Pterostilbene, a powerful antioxidant found in grapes, is believed to fight against cancer and also to help lower the cholesterol levels.
It has also been found that the polyphenols found in grapes provide protection against heart diseases. Studies have also shown that flavonoids which are also a type of polyphenols, are found in red grapes help to fight against cancer.
A lot of things can be made from grapes like jam, jellies, juices, and let's not forget, wine. If they are dried they become raisins and currants. Grapes are one of nature's best foods. Whether you've got any health problem or not, there is no harm in eating this fruit as there are no side effects whatsoever.
