The benefits of apple cider vinegar have been heralded for quite some time now and it is believed that it is a great tool to use in your diet to lose weight. Here, we tell you how you can include apple cider vinegar in your diet, and what are the various benefits of the same.
Apple cider vinegar has been used for its varied health benefits for several centuries now. Hippocrates, who is widely known as the father of modern medicine, was a great believer in the effectiveness of this tonic and praised it greatly for its many unique medicinal benefits.
Apple cider vinegar is obtained by the fermentation process. Apples are crushed together and the juice is extracted from them. This juice is allowed to undergo the process of fermentation by the addition of sugar and yeast. Then, bacteria is added to the solution which gives acetic acid. Apple pectin provides the dietary fiber in apple cider vinegar.

Inclusion of Apple Cider Vinegar in One's Diet

In order to achieve weight loss with the help of apple cider vinegar, it is essential that you include it in your diet on a daily basis and follow a proper diet plan. Regular practitioners of the diet suggest that you take two teaspoons of the tonic before each meal.
Ensure that you take the tonic at least fifteen minutes before you eat your meal. You can choose to mix apple cider vinegar in water to consume it, as drinking it as it is may be a little unappetizing. If you choose to, then you could probably try out tablets that are readily available now.
When you include apple cider vinegar in your diet, it reduces your appetite, which is the reason it helps in effective weight loss. It also increases the level at which fat is burnt. When you consume the tonic, a reaction with the acids in the stomach results in your appetite getting reduced.
Since your appetite is lower than normal, you eat lesser amount of food, and this ultimately causes weight loss. While inclusion of apple cider vinegar in your diet will help you lose weight, it is also important that you exercise regularly.

Does the Diet Work?

A diet that includes apple cider vinegar has been long considered a fad diet and there is no conclusive evidence that proves that this works. The debate regarding the effectiveness has been going on. There are many pros and cons of including it in your diet. Since the diet is a completely natural one, the side effects are minimal and not very harmful.
It is also extremely easy to follow the diet as there is no diet plan that needs to be maintained. Nor is there an inclusion of rigorous exercise regimen. Following a diet that includes apple cider vinegar also means that there are very few expenses that you will incur. Also apple cider vinegar in itself is beneficial in many different ways.
It is believed that intake of the tonic helps control cholesterol, blood pressure, and improve digestive system functioning. It is also believed that the ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar) can help in treatment of yeast infection. Naysayers often rubbish the diet saying that there is absolutely no evidence to support its effectuality.
In some people, intake of ACV can cause throat and stomach irritation. There have also been suggestions that prolonged intake of the tonic can cause weakening of teeth enamel and calcium in the bones.
At the end of the day, following the diet is a personal choice. It is important though that if you intend to follow the diet, then you buy the vinegar from a well-known health or drug store. Buying original and organic vinegar is the best option if you want the best results.
