We are often advised to consume an acidic fruit after a heavy meal by nutritionists and dietitians as they are very good for easy digestion. These acidic fruits help in controlling illnesses such as blood pressure, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases.
Acidic fruits, because of their fragrance, are used in making oils for yoga, aromatherapy as well as in spas around the world. Many people prefer perfumes that have a citrus fragrance and its demand has increased rapidly.

Carambola is also known as star fruit in many Asian countries, and it has a good amount of vitamin C. This fruit is believed to have cured jaundice and sore eyes, and yes, there's no denying about how helpful it is in clearing toxins from the body.
Grapefruits are bigger in size as compared to oranges, and are very high in vitamin C. They are mostly found in the Middle East and Far East. They are known to be beneficial for the skin, in controlling illnesses like diabetes, reducing aging, and helpful in losing weight.

Oranges look so very tempting and delicious, and it is one of the most attractive fruits because of its amazing color. One may find a variety of oranges in different parts of the world. This fruit is high in vitamin C and is known for its medicinal benefits since ancient times. Oranges are found mostly in Brazil, USA and is a popular breakfast fruit.
Tamarind fruit is a tropical fruit and is very common in Guadeloupe, Egypt, and most Asian countries. Tamarind is found in many recipes, sauces, jams, syrups, and also used to make sweets. It is used to cure indigestion, sore throat, and many other illnesses.
Soursop is found in many parts of South America, Central America and Africa. It is used to prepare sweets, ice creams, and beverages. However, it is not recommended for medical purposes.
Tangerine, also known as Christmas Orange, is small in size and is a variety of the Mandarin Orange. Its vitamin C content is high and it is a very juicy fruit. It contains many other nutrients apart from vitamin C.
The Mandarin Orange is sweeter than an orange and is mostly used to prepare fruit salads. It eases digestion and supports the digestive system, and it can be consumed daily.

Clementine is a variety of Mandarin Orange. These are less acidic as compared to oranges, are seedless and good for preparing juices.
Kumquat is found in South Asian countries and the Asia Pacific region. This fruit grows in shrubs, is as small as an olive, and is orange in color. It is used for making liqueur, marmalade, jellies, and candies.
Tangelo and Minneola
Tangelo is also known as Honeybell, it has a low acidic level and is very juicy. Its variety includes Orlando Tangelo and Minneola. These fruits are cultivated in many parts of the US.
Satsuma is a citrus fruit that originated in Japan, but is also available in the West. It has a high amount of vitamin C and is seedless. It normally takes 8 to 9 years to grow the Satsuma tree.
Kiwifruit got its name from the national bird of New Zealand and is a favorite fruit among kids. It is rich in vitamin C and many other nutrients. It is known to treat asthma, prevent anemia and is helpful to pregnant women as well.
Pomelo is mostly cultivated in Southeast Asia. This fruit is known by many names like Chinese Grapefruit, Elephant Grapefruit, Jabong, Jambura, etc. They are larger than grapefruits and are used for preparing marmalade and even used for flavoring.
Ugli is also known as the Ugli fruit, and is mostly found in Jamaica. It is normally larger than a grapefruit and is more sour than an orange, thus making it high in vitamin C content. It can be found in local markets of the US and Europe.
